"The usual cookie cutter"

Or the four Supreme Court justices (out of 110) who have not been white men, according to Chris Matthews.

Obama should probably go with the unconventional choice and pick an old white guy to replace Souter.

Or Harriet Miers.

Interesting. Everyone expects Obama to nominate a minority woman. The linked article clearly points out that there is an underlying assumption that a white male, although perhaps better qualified, will not be Obama's nominee for the sake of "diversity." How annoying that a light weight thread of idiocy is making the rounds of the political shows.

Obama is prez - aren't we living in a post-racial/gender/ethnic meritocracy now?

Lol!

True dat. Post-racial, my ass.

The sad thing is, Sotomayor has been the victim in all of this. As far as I know, no one from the White House has officially suggested she was a candidate for Souter's spot. In no way does she deserve the public trashing she's received in recent days.
