i was thinking about this at the gym, and it seems like it's a false construct to say, well, i've been called the N word to my face.
of course, that's hideous and unforgiveable, but not the point here.
has anyone ever said to you, well, what would a white person think? meaning, negating your entire existence...you exist only as the mouthpiece of your direct opposite.

But I guess, if you don't think being called "nigger" to your face is as offensive as someone asking what your husband thinks, we'll just have to agree to disagree.
There's no way for either of us to know how the other is supposed to feel or react in that situation.

for the record, in case it wasn't clear, using the N word is worse.
my point was, i thought, that she had a right to get peeved. and that it wasn't fair to compare the two.
because obama doesn't get peeved if he faces some racists comment doesn't mean she doesn't have the right to get peeved if someone asked her what her husband thinks. and i dont think obama wouldn't be peeved, anyway...
or something like that. i can't remember now.

And like I say, it's not really a matter of comparison. It's a matter of not really knowing what it's like to walk in the others' shoes.
I can't say that "negating your entire existence" as a women is better or worse than being called nigger. I really don't know.
So with that in mind, I'm only trying to judge HRC's reax in the context of my own experiences and lack thereof. I just think she was out of pocket. In that situation only. I'm not drawing any other conclusions from that incident or anything else, you know?
