USA Today's Christine Brennan on Erin Andrews:
Post-script: What was I thinking about? You can not be a real, bonafide blogger and post an item about Erin Andrews without a picture. I have my limits but I'm not above a little pandering for pageviews.
“Andrews incident is bad, but to add perspective: there are 100s of women sports journalists who have never had this happen to them.” She continued, “women sports journalists need to be smart and not play to the frat house. There are tons of nuts out there.”

Clearly she shouldn't have been naked alone in her hotel room. Clearly she should always do a security sweep of her hotel rooms for peep holes to ensure this sort of thing does not happen.
Clearly she totally asked for it.
What blackink? Are you doubting that she didn't bring this on herself?
To some people, nobody is a victim until you become one yourself.
Feh.
True. I felt awful for her when I first heard about what happened. Then I read your post and was floored by the comments made by this other journalist. WTH???
Don't you feel a little hateristic vibe coming from her? If g/f was fugly I doubt she would have so unsympathetic.
You know, I can't - or don't - want to think that's the case. But I do think there's some professional envy against Erin Andrews in some quarters.
That said, I've known plenty of women sports writers in my career. And best believe, even though I haven't heard of someone specifically peeping on them, most of them have dealt with their share of bullshit in lockerrooms and pressboxes.
The women didn't have to play to the frat house. The frat house came to them, you know?
